Cole doesn't know where they'd even go in the first place. Varric worries about him but it seems like everything here would make him worry. This entire place is strange. He finds himself picking up on Varric's thoughts, which shine bright like a beacon. He hurts with worry. Cole wants to help soothe that.

"The kid shouldn't be here. He should be back home, watching her and waiting, surviving, secluded, safe. You don't have to worry about me. I've...been through worse."

Though it is odd that Varric is thinking of a thing that Cole doesn't know if it happened. He'll keep that to himself for the moment.
