In his mind, Oswald doesn't need that kind of reassurance, or at least didn't imagine he'd need to hear it. But it's not the confirmation itself that has a lingering resonance with Oswald here but the impression of a flimsy bridge forming between them, like whisper thin wisps of cotton webs that form in the corners of rooms, fragile and easy to miss, but most definitely there to anyone paying close enough attention. But they also form precisely when focus is elsewhere.

It's there. The thinnest connection. Their first agreement, however flimsy.

Oswald forces a steely poker face though, enduring the ghost of Kristen to haunt the moment. His eyes twitch involuntarily though. Only had one gilrfriend. There it is again. The notable absence of Isabella again. It's not beyond them to bracket her death to exact revenge on Oswald, and yet...

Not here.

That's not a bad call.
