[ to say she's an... acquired taste would be putting it mildly, which means there's either the possibility of her endearing herself to somebody right away or turning them off in the other extreme. then again, she's just as likely to grow on someone over time too, that pesky little presence that some folks just end up resigning themselves to after a while because it's easier to just give in to the whirling dervish that is her energy level.

but she gets the sense they're gonna get along well enough; they certainly seem like they're like-minded in a certain sense, and once he says one of the magic words that manages to draw in her impossibly fleeting attention span, he's got her hooked for what stands to be the remainder of this conversation, however long this train ride lasts and potentially beyond.

she's not even all that worried about what image they might present; two people with their heads tucked together doesn't look suspicious or conspiratorial at all, right? but maybe it ain't so suspicious because they're a pair of opposite designations, and that's less likely to draw attention than two dominants or two submissives chatting more intensely. ]


Whoa. You're gonna have to give me a sec to wrap my head around all'a that. [ but if she's hearing him right, it means that there's a chance there could be more than one version of them here in this city. more than one version of her! one harley quinn feels like plenty for anyone to deal with, herself included. ]

So what you're sayin' is that we could have friends, or allies, or enemies, or whatever — they could show up here tomorrow but be from, like, years in the future. Know all kinds of info about what happens to us that we haven't even lived yet. Or doppelgangers who exist in a Gotham that for the most part looks just like ours 'cept for one small difference. Like shrimp don't exist.
