Victor has betrayed Ed's trust once in going to Vrenille to get him help when Ed was self medicating to see the visions of Penguin. He won't betray him again now. There is a lot they need to talk about. Maybe they will. Maybe they won't. All he can do is be there as the underling he has and do what he can for them.
