One thing that can be said for Oswald Cobblepot for certain, he will always find a way to move forward. Laying down, giving up, letting the world--any world--walk over him? Not an option. And having Victor at his heel just reminds him of that further as they walk.

"Handling a day and night operation like that must be keeping your hands fairly busy these days."

It's probably not softening Victor's hands exactly, but Oswald wonders if Victor's trigger finger is getting itchy, if his marksman's eyes are looking for targets. Or if he's busy enough with this project. Or it's basically a bit of a hobby and a shop front for the work Oswald knows Victor for. Many questions to get to when they're out of earshot of the film crews and their various recording devices.

After getting at least a short distance though, Oswald glances over his shoulder toward Victor, looking at him with a steady but difficult to read kind of stare.

"Ed mentioned that the two of you have each arrived here with different experiences of our beloved Gotham," he pauses, turning a little on the spot to face Victor once more, "Is it true?"

For some matters, there's no point in beating around the bush.
