They're pure fiction, where I'm from. [Aside from those he brought to life through cards.] I've always been fond of the myth of fairies, but I'm fond of myth in general. Mermaids, dragons, elves, a healthy dose of eldritch abomination... fairies interest me in the same manner most myth does, and now that I've met a fairy, you are awful cute, and I'm fond of that too. I'm liable to turn you into a card.
