But I sure saw a lot of tv shows and movies about what it could be like an' I was curious." The little TV and antenna she had as a girl in Lafayette could pick up old episodes of "Star Trek" and "Babylon 5," and the people and aliens in them seemed beyond belief. "I guess askin' what space is like fer someone who can do it is like askin' what the bayou is like to someone who grew up there."
