...but he can't say this trip isn't educational. Just what's going on on the train alone is something to watch, and it draws his eye, the couplings, the way people are treated so... blatantly. Openly. Normally. It makes something in him clench to think that he'll be expected to do that with someone, to someone. The whole idea feels wrong.
