Lucien meets the Archivist's gaze, unflinching as the man's eyes change before him. Human indeed. His own eyes grow more intent, focused, and his smirk becomes a wicked twist. He can feel the will behind the question and that... That is interesting.

"I see you peekin." There is a strange quality to his voice then, almost as if it is inside Jon's mind as well as being spoken out loud. An echo. The eyes on his neck and hand seem more vivid, just short of glowing. His amusement doesn't waver. "You couldn't just ask like a polite fellow, could you?"

He leans forward, away from the window and into the no-man's-land between them.
