Barry points at his sweater with a "you think?" sort of look. But then he feels the grip, and he does some concentrating himself, running in place in the air. Which probably looks pretty weird. Even his top speed might not be enough though, given that psychics in his own universe have been able to hold him down, and he's not quite at max speed here.
