A few years ago he would have been rocked to his core by that sort of revelation -- then again, a few years ago it wouldn't have mattered, because he'd been dead and on the outs with at least one of them before that. But the time since has softened some of those edges and they've all had some time on Krakoa to, well -- Scott probably doesn't get the reaction he was going for, but just a weary and fond kind of smile.

He watches her pull at Scott, fierce even without a firebird at her back, and the smile remains because, god, he's missed her. Missed both of them. And he appreciates what she says, though he can't resist a brief up-and-down glance at the pair of them, one eyebrow lifting a little.

"You were talkin' about killing Charles while you were makin' out like a couple of teenagers?"
