The girl flushed a bit more at the question and she managed to bite her tongue from uttering her first, unbidden response. What the fuck is going on? And once she asked herself that question, Anna finally noticed her body had, no was, betraying her. And having noticed that betrayal made it even worse.
No, what was worse she couldn't control it.
Did she hear a certain tone in his voice when he suggested they find some place warmer? She nodded and finished her hot chocolate, glancing around. "I..let's try over there, it looks like a bar or something." Without really waiting for ascent, her left hand tightened on his forearm and she urged him to follow her.
Maybe with a bunch of people around she could control whatever was happening to her. And she pulled Hythlodaeus behind her as she entered the door of the establishment, the couple's sudden entrance drawing some glances but otherwise ignored. It was crowded but a brief scan revealed an empty corner booth. It didn't exactly fit her roughly put together plan but it would have to do.
At least it was actually warm.
"Over there." Glancing back at the man. Leading him towards the spot rather than simply pointing. It probably looked ridiculous given their heigh difference, coupled with her insistence at reaching the imagined safety of the corner. Anna slid into the booth. "I think this will work."
