That someone happens to be a petite blonde who doesn't seem to hear him at first. Too caught up in trying not to stare at the Dominant and their kneeling submissive ─ who she nearly tripped over on her way into the seat next to him ─ while attempting to wrap her head around the fact that this is a thing, an actual real and genuinely normal thing people do here.

But after a solid minute of openly staring at the pair, Buffy's brain registers where she is and she quickly looks away. Shaking her head and folding her hands in her lap she then realizes she's sitting next to someone... someone who isn't showing her any weird courtesy because of the missing line down her neck. Oh thank god.

"You're welcome?" Awkward yet sweet. "I was just sitting. I wasn't hoping to strike up a conversation with anyone. Not that you wouldn't be good company or conversationalist. You could be the best, really, I have no idea and I'm not going to find out. Because like I said I'm just sitting." She offers a reassuring smile and adds, "But if you want me to move I can. Seriously it's no big. I can find an elsewhere to sit. Or stand." Clearly she's not exactly the Dominating type the city is expecting her to be.
