Floyd might not always express the “appropriate” emotions and reactions for the circumstances, given how frequently his moods fluctuate, but there’s visible relief when he’s within arm’s reach of his twin brother. Being whisked away into an unknown world might be fun, but maybe not as much as it could be with Jade.

Frowning, he pops the unwrapped candy into his mouth and squints as Jade rubs at his face. “Nah. Haven’t seen him. If he’s here, I bet he’s crying like a baby ‘cause he can’t find us.” It sounds rude, but beneath that he’s actually quite curious, maybe even a little disappointed. Floyd sighs then raises a brow down at the box at Jade’s side.

“Ehh, you got a present too? Why didn’t you open it yet?” Never mind that it isn’t even their box to open.
