Jyn understood the concept of being here one moment and gone the next. It was something she had contemplated when she heard the fate of Scariff—- her fate. To experience it in Duplicity wasn’t any easier. To have consciousness and then be gone made the reappearing later harder to deal with. It was clear Obi-Wan was aware of her disappearance or at least of his own if he was saying he had left, too.

Jyn only had the last few days to mourn a life without him, but those few days of being back here, alone, made this embrace all the more potent. He pulled her to him and hugged him deeply. It was a kind of hug that conveyed so much without words. Her chin rested on his shoulder as she raised herself on her tiptoes. She squeezed him back. This hug might have only been after a short leave for her, but the impact was just the same.

She was certain she would never see him either. And here he was once again. Comforted by this fact, she pulled away slowly, just enough to look him in the eye as a hand gently touched his cheek. “Did you go home, too?” She asked.
