Got Beth pregnant, and she and Kory are completely ready to be parents and I'm completely not, and I finished my Bardic training, so it was time to move on anyway and...so I moved on. But I'm happy for them, and they helped me move into my new place in New York." So clearly there's no lingering weirdness at all.

Eric has always been good at abandoning situations though. It's kind of weird to think about Kory and Beth raising a kid who's his genetically, but really, he's just not meant to be a dad, really.
