The fact is even if Val could shift here and now, Kazu would never ask him to. He doesn't need convenience or familiarity, not so long as Val is willing to lead, and he always has been. Sometimes when Kazu gets too much in his own head he does worry that the dynamic is unbalanced, that he's always the one at a loss while Val guides him through yet another struggle... but that's insecurity talking, and he is making progress.

With something like this it's far simpler, anyway. He's a fast learner when it comes to physical things and certainly eager, so when Val offers to guide him Kazu lifts his head and nods in response.

"Now. Show me?" he murmurs, leaning back up for another quick kiss. One of his hands is already stroking low on Val's stomach between them but he stills his touch for now, waiting for instruction.
