[ Yennefer isn't sure that combination of words in that particular order have filled her with as much a pairing of relief and dread as they do in this exact moment — relief, as fleeting though it might be, for the fact that Geralt is not aware of what's to come, what she's done against him that will eventually forge a look of distrust and barely-bridled anger in his face every time he so much as glances in her direction.

Dread persists too, though, over what might happen if or when he finally does remember it — because if Jaskier had fallen into a strange sleep which allowed him to conjure new memories he hadn't possessed before, there's every chance that Geralt could experience the same. ]

And you haven't told him what occurs after that.

[ Selfishly, her first instinct is to tell him not to utter a word of it — to try and preserve whatever exists between them even if Geralt's last recollections are of them parting in anger with one another. At least then, she thinks, it had not been rooted in betrayal too. Her hand strays back toward her own cocoa but she realizes she doesn't have the appetite for it anymore; in fact, she's beginning to feel rather warm enough without venturing another sip entirely. ]
