He looked thoughtful for a moment then shook his head, "Honestly, I'd rather just be myself. It's somethin that ain't always great, since it definitely feels a little invasive sometimes, but I'm not any good at lyin." Well, he didn't enjoy lying. Concealing his thoughts wasn't the same thing as lying, but hiding his emotions just felt like lying.

McCoy rubbed a hand over Obi-Wan's back as he held the man, speaking softly, "That's one thing I never gotta worry about I guess. Jim just couldn't do that. He's not wired that way." Hopefully anyway. It wasn't impossible for Jim to do really crazy things, but he wouldn't commit genocide. Surely he'd never lose it so completely . . . Ah hell, now he was actually worried! McCoy did his best to tamp that worry down before Obi-Wan noticed and hugged the man a little tighter.
