Well, that gave him a starting point, at least, on where Hawke's head might be. Checking who else was about was certainly one of the first things he'd done, but he and Hawke weren't the same; he hadn't been about to assume.

"Yeah...Anduin back a few months now. Don't think there's a head of magical healing or whatever that role was, but Kyle Valenti runs it now. Vampire, if you've never met him. Good heart." At least he could maintain a politic tone of voice about that one, he didn't need to start going into that mess right now.

"I worked there a bit, took some time off. Not sure yet if I'll go back, but I think Rhys -ah...both of them- were the only magical sorts left aside from me." Which really meant he should probably go back...but also he'd told Kyle he could call on him if he ever needed him.
