"Vampire," Hawke echoes, keeping his tone carefully neutral. He's the last person who should be judging someone based solely on what they are, but he can't help but mistrust a creature - being - that subsists on blood magic. Still, if Chris says this Kyle has a good heart, Hawke has to trust that.
"Maybe I should let him know I have some rudimentary healing ability then. In case of emergencies." That's his sense of duty talking, his immediate impulse to be useful and set a good example, and he knows it. He doesn't actually want to do that. Maker knows he will if an emergency does come up, but he'll do it without having to be called upon.

He makes a point of looking a bit away as he dries himself but keeps just enough of his periphery on Chris to judge a reaction. "At least you know when to take a step back. Its good to see you've created a retreat for yourself like this."
