✪ ALL ABOARD

[ It's not really how he expected his life to go, honestly, and at the same time Sam almost wants to just roll his eyes over the perfect irony. Because of course, forced into a duality of class, he'd end up with that line on his neck. It ain't so different from growing up poor in the NOLA area, near the constant reminders of a reality his great grandparents still lived.

So on the train, Sam looks outwardly cool and collected, but there's a certain tension to him that he can't quite shake whenever he sees yet another sign of the present reality around him from the corners of his eyes. Can't quite help the way he reaches up occasionally to scratch at the mark on his neck either. Otherwise his arms remain loosely crossed.

Still, the smile he tosses someone else on the train does a damn fine job of being open and friendly, even if that's far from how Sam feels right now. He's a people person like that. ]

Y'know, out of all bad city tours I've been on in my life, I think this one takes the cake.

✪ SUMMER SPECIAL

[ - has graduated from real life superman school with flying colors
- has kicked more than one helicopter out of the sky
- has been dead for five years and got better

That's what his partner's card about Sam will read. He still doesn't look quite comfortable with his new lot in life - and that line on his neck sure has a lot to do with it - but it doesn't seem like the heat bothers him much. In fact, that seems to be the least of it. Sam's not going to let his frustrations over the overall situation reflect outwards hard though, least of all on someone who is seriously not at fault. Present company gets the full Wilson charm turned on to them, warm smile included. ]

I feel like saying 'pleasure to meet you' is setting myself up for something in this place.

✪ BEAT THE HEAT

[ Coconut and orange blossom, with a dash of sticky sweet red berries. Sam's not aware of the scent exuding from him after he's been hit with water. He's grown up in Louisiana - he'll take some water on his skin when he can get it to help combat the heat, so he doesn't exactly make the largest effort to dodge sprinklers and water balloons.

He does acquire a water gun though, and cocks an eyebrow at someone approaching him, not minding the way the fabric of his shirt sticks. ]

I should warn you, my aim's really good.

[ Said with a small wave of his 'weapon'. There's something playful in his eyes though, perhaps something a bit challenging. He's competitive enough that fighting with water guns and water balloons seems like a damn fine idea at the moment. ]
