Which is a great deal of self awareness for Hawke, but he's been navel-gazing quite a lot since arriving, even if that hadn't been very long ago.

Having an understanding of what the city wanted a Dom to be but perhaps not having given thought to what a Dom should actually be and how they could do more good than go to prison on principle.
