"Sloth," he responds readily, perhaps a bit ashamed immediately after for just how much he sounded like a schoolboy eager to give the correct answer in class. A bit of color rises in his complexion but he settles back and exhales slowly, letting any embarrassment leave with the breath.

Gratitude, though, sits in him still. He'll probably speak it later but it remains in his expression now, a significant look at Chris before he settles back again, inhales deeply, then exhales slowly as instructed, willing the tension out of himself. It's a skill he's never really mastered but it helps somewhat to imagine himself willing, ready to receive here on the bed, but with no concerns of who would be disappointed in him for it, or feel betrayed or annoyed that he's indulging instead of doing as he should and arranging things for himself.

He exhales again, trying to breathe that worry and tightness from his chest, the tension from his stomach, and inhale the scent of leather and clean sheets. He feels safer now, with this structure. He always knew Chris wouldn't do anything to intentionally cross any lines Hawke doesn't want him too and moreover he has his magic to easily break free if ever necessary, but a guideline clearly sateted and Chris' serious gaze does more to make him feel that this was the right choice than anything else the younger man could have done.

"I'm ready," he says low, hearing the vulnerability in his own voice and sincerely not minding that it's there.
