Tim's lips thin as he presses them together. It's not a question he likes but he can't say he hasn't thought it.
"I can not be certain that it is not an alternate timeline's version of Bruce. He's younger and all events that we've spoken of have lined up but I can not be 100% certain. Just as I can't be certain about you," They'll have to compare notes at some point but not now and not in public.
"I thought about that not having a connection with a person would help but there's not a lot of rhyme or reason to the things or the people they choose," He'd ended up with strangers and friends alike, even when attempting to avoid it. "They don't seem to overstep blood relatives."
A grim bit of information that he feels he has to impart. He knows it's something he still worries about with Bruce, he doesn't have that protection.
"There are a lot of things that seem counterproductive here. You're not going to find a lot of sense in the decisions that are made here. They claim we are test subjects but follow no scientific method that I've heard of. They say they need a year to test us but some have been here for four or more and others disappear overnight after only a few." Tim feels himself working into a rant about this place and how frustrating their methods are but cuts himself off there.
"It's what we all need when we first get here as Submissives. I have all the rights now that the city will allow because I've negotiated and put that into my contract." He's not up for grabs Damian, as unlikely as you'd want to have him. Although he can just imagine the glee the younger would have as having Tim as a servant.
