"You're wasting time." he mutters in a bored voice, but his eyes do scan the scenery for something more private. There are the cabanas scattered about. Those have curtains, but it wouldn't change the volume of their surroundings, nor give them any real privacy should someone really want to listen in. It also takes away Edward's ability to push Stede into the pool should he say anything he doesn't like.
