"I have three contracts," he says plainly, not shy in the least to talk about them. "Two are with guys I met here. And one--my oldest one--with my best friend from home. Sometimes you get lucky and you end up with one of your own people here, someone you got a bond of trust with already." He is lucky, he knows, no two ways about it.

"That's not to say my other two matter to me any less though. Or any of the one's I've had before 'em--men who're gone from this place now but I still miss every day."
