Bruce doesn't punch and he doesn't grab. He doesn't try to stop Joker's fingers on his collarbone.

He does slide his hand down Joker's other arm and link his fingers around the man's wrist. Just so he knows where both those hands are -- and has some control over one of them.

Then leans in and licks up the side of Joker's throat, along his jaw to snap his teeth just barely hard enough to sting at his ear-lobe. He does not move back before he laughs.

"You have no idea."

No one's protecting him, of course. That isn't how he works.
