"Your wretch...?" Hythlodaeus murmurs it, unsure of if he's flattered that Joker is standing up for him or not. He's probably been called worse here to be fair, so he lets it slide without much of a comment.

The rude man turns to grunt at Joker- as if he hadn't paid him much attention to begin with, and only now sees the disturbingly unnatural smile. You find it funny or something? Want me to do it again?

For his part, Hythlodaeus steps forward and gives Joker a strained smile. He doesn't want this to become a full blown altercation- but of course he's unaware of if Joker can handle himself in a fight or not.
