Vrenille's laugh at the remark is free and easy, "Well and you still gotta see the place, decide if you like the set-up." Some might say that beggars can't be choosers and that Zhao is in no position to be picky, but that's not at all how Vrenille sees it. Whether or not he knows it in this moment, Zhao will probably have plenty of offers come his way. If he takes this job, Vrenille wants him to actually be able to enjoy it.

He slaps a hand on Zhao's knee, "C'mon. You in the mood to take a walk to the Down? I'll show you." No reason to delay when they can just go there now.

"Also maybe tell me if you got any ethical objections to flirting with your prospective boss," which is, in itself, him flirting a bit, testing the waters to see how Zhao takes it. Why shouldn't he, after all? Zhao is cute, and more importantly Vrenille likes his attitude, his energy. And this place being what it is, the situations it inevitably puts people in, it's best to try and get a read on someone's boundaries.
