He laughed at her scoff good-naturedly, her stubbornness to maintain her image struck him as cute. But he knew she had her pride and he was not going to do anything to step on it. “Then I did my job well.” He said with amusement and happily held her there enjoying the afterglow.

“I’m not trying to make anything weird.” He assured her, his hand resting lightly on the small of her back.

“Whenever you’re ready I can get you a bath going. No rush, I’m quite comfortable right now.” He said knowing they both needed to be cleaned up, but wasn’t going to invite himself to bathe with her, or stay the night. After all, he was just about a stranger to her.
