recounting problematic canon history

If he included more details than the bare minimum, it would take a bit to tell the whole story, but it wasn't like it hurt to recount his life and history. Harry had never known anything but the privation and neglect of life on the Isle. he'd known Auradon was better, but it had been an academic knowledge, not something he'd ever experienced.

"Oh aye. Th'powers tha be decided more'n twenty years ago tha magic an villains were too dangerous tae leave free. Magic got discouraged an all the villains were rounded up an stuck on th'Isle of the Lost under a barrier tae negate all magic an keep 'em all put. They even brought th'ones who'd passed back tae life so they could be prisoners too. No clue why it happened, but everyone seemed tae get th'idea kids'd be a good addition." Harry shook his head with a sigh. Maybe one of the worst decisions their parents had ever made. Letting villains have kids was just cruel to everyone.

"Anyway, they sucked as parents, no one in Auradon seemed tae care they were leavin innocent kids tae suffer for their whole lives, an tha was life." There was a lot he hadn't said, but it certainly seemed like plenty. Harry listened as Rogue spoke, making a soft sound of surprise and pleasure as the man touched him. He melted into the touch, leaning into those hands. As much as he pushed himself on others, most of the time people didn't touch him back. They just sort of put up with his antics. Harry ran both hands through Rogue's hair, nails scraping lightly against the man's scalp.

He didn't really have words. Harry hadn't been alone since he and Uma founded their crew, and the memories from before then were mostly hazy and unhappy. He'd tried to forget on purpose, choosing to live in the present as much as possible. But now? He leaned in again and kissed Rogue instead of struggling with words or emotions, hands holding the man's head still until he pulled back.
