It's discouraging to think how many people are shocked by honesty and how few by deceit. Yet, solace is found in the lies we tell each other, comforted by the peace of knowing that we're not alone in our depravity, and once on this path, sin itself becomes the lesser of two evils masked in a cloud of normalcy.

This is how Duplicity has functioned since the beginning. The divide of power and social standing is overt in that Dominants influence the decisions made both publicly and privately while Submissives cater to the rules presented to them. It is the way of Duplicity to assign random designations at birth with no leeway in altering what has been given. Climate in the Up is far stricter than that of the Down; violating outlined personas for a Dominant or Submissive while in full view of others is punished by degree of infraction. In the Down, many tend to turn a blind eye to these sorts of offenses.

To counteract the discovery of the deceit gene – a natural "negative" response to all stimuli – the LIEs program was founded. The program had been designed to introduce new subjects to the current environment and test for the deceit gene through immersion in Duplicity's standing society. Sexual impulses and encounters increase the chances of detecting the gene within these individuals. Participants are typically released from LIEs after a year; however, results have remained unsatisfactory and testing still continues.

...and you're here! Finally! Welcome to Duplicity.

After choosing a door and stepping through to the other side, the first thing that greets you are the enthusiastic faces of people in medical scrubs and pristine lab coats. Their enthusiasm translates to eagerness as they strip you of your clothes to perform a thorough examination—you will be healed, bathed, and given a paper gown to wear until your items can be processed and delivered to your residence later in the evening. You are also given a device that accesses the network as well as the time and location of Orientation.

If you enter Duplicity into the Up, congratulations! You're a Dominant, which means you are immediately picked up by a limo after processing and taken to your high-rise. Here, it is two Dominants per floor with separate apartments. If you enter Duplicity into the Down, congratulations! You're a Submissive, which means you are directed towards public transportation with the address of the motel you'll be living in. Here, it is two Submissives per room with a shared common space for all rooms.

Submissives are provided with a plain black pleather collar to wear and Dominants are given bracelets made of the same black pleather. The simple design is an immediate visual indicator that they have not yet signed a contract and they will be informed that more elaborate or personalized styles are a privilege reserved for those who do.

Enjoy your free time until Orientation! Participation is mandatory for all new and past arrivals.

The first hints of spring are in the air. Large piles of snow still linger, but precipitation has turned to rain and the breeze gets a little warmer every day. It's time to swap out wool coats for umbrellas and turtlenecks for tea dresses!

After stepping through the door and participating in Orientation, LIERs are assembled together in the Up for a tour of Duplicity in its entirety. Seats are in pairs and randomly assigned to Dominants and Submissives alike. Traveling from Fiddler's Square, the train journeys through various parts of the Up, showcasing society and examples of lifestyle. Along the way, frequent stops are made; a variety of passengers can be seen exiting and entering the doors. A Dominant with a kneeling Submissive takes a seat near the front of the train at one stop. A small group of Submissives board and sit closer to the LIERs at another, all seemingly content in their roles. As the tour continues through the Up, the train passes close to the Market and White Wall Bridge and zips by North Park before heading into the Down and bypassing Red Wall Bridge and South Park.

The train makes a "final" stop at Riddler's Square, where inhabitants of the Down are instructed to return to their temporary housing. Those who live in the Up are permitted to stay on the train and revisit the same locations while returning.

Far too many people can’t seem to follow directions. Reading a map shouldn’t be that hard, so LIES has taken it upon themselves to update their usual city tour to refresh newcomers and graduates alike. This month’s orientation includes a more in-depth tour than the usual train ride, coupling it with bus routes that lead groups through various stations and stops that show off some of the city’s most notable landmarks. To your left you will see Fiddler's Square, and over on the right you will see the greenhouse, opened just last year. Enjoy this drive along the coast! The beach looks lovely and the lighthouse stands proud and watchful, but the city recommends against visiting either one. Isn't the business district much lovelier, with all the fancy hotels and lively dance clubs?

Dominants and Submissives both new and old are required to take or give the tour at least once, depending on how long they have been in the city. Those who have lived in the city for over six months will find themselves given maps to follow and brochures that describe various places in town; they are paired with newcomers who haven't been here quite as long, and are still learning what the city has to offer them.

Whether a tour guide or a member of the tour group, Dominants will be given priority seating, while Submissives are expected to either kneel at their feet, sit on their laps, or even stay standing in trains and buses that, curiously, are always packed. Everyone’s taking these tours, so it's no wonder these carriages are so crowded.

Something strange happens on these tours, though. It starts small and faint, but the longer you spend in these crowded buses and trains, the hotter you feel - and the people surrounding you look more and more attractive. But this is Duplicity, and no one will bat an eye if the Submissive on a Dominant’s lap starts humping them in front of everyone else… After all, it seems like everyone else is already also doing the same.

The strange part? No one can get off. No matter how far you take it, or how long you try to climax - you just can't. No one can. No one's getting off on this tour, not until the bus or train makes it to each pre-planned stop. Please mind the gap as you disembark, and try not to come all over the concrete the minute you step out of the vehicle!

The tours aren't all about sex on the go. While the tour guides are given maps and brochures to study up on, the tour-takers are given little stamp cards and instructions to complete a fun stamp rally. Visiting each of the locations on your card can get you an adorable stamp, and completing the stamps will get you a fun and useful prize! Participating locations include:

The catch - you don't get a stamp until you use your device to scan an official code found in stamp stands at each stop. Doing so brings up a pose to be done with at least one other person. Make sure to pose quickly, a camera somewhere in the area will flash in a few moments to take your photo. Some photos are fairly straightforward - a kiss to the cheek, or a slap to the ass. Others are a bit more involved - giving a blowjob, or getting pegged. Don't complain, some unlucky people might get something convoluted (can anyone truly bend that way? Time to find out!). You get unlimited tries to take the perfect picture - so if you don't manage it the first time, simply scan again and strike another pose. Unfortunately the pose won't change with any additional scans, so make sure to do your best with what you’ve been given!

Completed stamp cards can be exchanged at the Orientation Center for a loaded money pass! Particularly valuable to Submissives (uncontracted ones, or ones who want to buy things by themselves), money passes are honored all over the city, and can be used to purchase necessities without a Dominant’s signature. The pass is valid for a whole month, and has enough to cover a month’s worth of decent warm meals, a few indulgences, and maybe some appropriate clothes for the season. Buy whatever you need to impress the Dominant of your dreams and secure a contract that suits your needs.

In a bid to attract new customers, the boutique Delicate Desires has partnered with LIES to advertise their shops as a one-stop-shop for new arrivals to get their hands on necessities they’ll need to make their lives easier and more enriched. With every completed stamp card, Submissives will also receive a coupon for 40% off anything in the store. Get a frilly, lacy outfit for every occasion!

If you don’t have any cash or failed to complete your stamp card - don’t fret! Find another Submissive who is willing to spend money on you from their own pass, or find a Dominant to spoil you - with the outfit being one of their choice, of course.

There are changing rooms available for customers to try on outfits and one may find that when they look at themselves in the mirrors of the store, their self-confidence spikes. It doesn’t matter how good or bad they may objectively look, they’ll feel like the hottest person to ever grace Duplicity’s streets. If said boost in confidence comes with feeling hot and bothered, well, the clerks won’t mind if the rooms are used for a quickie, so long as you’re, well, quick about it. They're expecting a lot of customers!

A competing store next door, Allure & Adorn, has decided to use this opportunity to try and lure customers into their own shop, boasting that their clothes are just as good - if not better! - than the ones offered next door. They will also accept the money passes that Submissives may have earned during the stamp rally, but their prices are a little less favorable than the boutique's. Their outfits, instead of their mirrors, seem to make those that wear them feel prone to showing off and indulging in exhibitionist activities. No fucking in the changing rooms here though - this store has class! Go out on the streets if you wish to indulge in that sort of behaviour.

On each Test Drive Meme, there will be a section noting character roles; these will vary each TDM. On an IC level, characters will still have gone through the doors but the assignments are OOCly randomized. When applying, there is a section of the application that denotes whether the character chooses "left" or "right." When participating on the TDM, there will be a third option. Players may link either a top level or a thread (five or more comments from their character) from the TDM and title the link as "Door Pass." This means that the player is choosing to take the designation that they were randomly assigned on the TDM, rather than taking the designation of a door. If the player decides to select a door rather than use the pass, then they are trying their luck; they may get the same designation they had on the TDM or the opposite. Once the application is submitted, players can't change their choice.

All new arrivals on this TDM are Submissive.

To Note: Characters can only swap their designation for one of the following reasons: an event occurs that allows it or there are OOC reasons that make it a necessity. Any swap always requires mod approval and each character can only ever switch once. Characters that are being reapped will keep their previous designation but players can choose to tag on new TDMs with different designations for fun!

Test Drive threads can be used as activity proofs for characters currently in-game.

Hayato's note been in many gardens save for the few on the ground of his own home here, but he's used to trying to grow herbs for tea, and she smells clean and floral. He likes it, keeps rubbing gently at her back, not bold enough to touch more of her, to pressure her into doing anything if this may be so wrong to her. Elizabeth is so new to this place.

When she shifts, he gasps and grinds up against her, fingers still pressing to hold her close.

"Can... I kiss you?" He asks, enjoying the feeling of her lips, wanting more of them.

She makes a gasp of her own when he lifts his hips to press himself against her, hot and firm -

This is wrong. The man who should kiss her is the man she will marry, not a stranger on a bus. She has never been kissed before, other than on her cheek by her parents when saying goodnight or in greeting after a journey and mostly when she was younger. Her other relations also fall into this category.

Elizabeth doesn't know why she is kissing his jaw. That is something she has never even thought of doing to a man, and yet...

And yet, she wants him to kiss her.

"This is a horrible place," she whispers to him, lifting her face to be level with his. The groan she makes as she flexes her fingers, wanting to touch him, sounds far too outside of her experience for her to even properly understand how it could affect anyone.

"Please... please... kiss me..."

He can't help the heat that's coursing through him, the way it feels like every breath she takes ignites a large flame inside him.

She's so new. He shouldn't. There's something so vulnerable about the way she looks at him that feels disarming. Her pretty brown eyes that seem so rich, and her blush, and her soft lips that had been kissing at his jaw moments ago. He wants to feel them better.

Hayato moves a hand off her back and caresses her cheek gently, thumb brushing at her skin before he's tipping his head sideways and gently placing a warm kiss to her mouth, wanting her comfortable with that before he moves on to parting his lips or introducing his tongue. He'll proceed cautiously depending on how she responds.

His hand is warm and his touch is so gentle. When he presses his lips against hers, they are soft and not demanding. It is pleasant. It is thrilling.

The situation, though, is so sudden and the need so desperate, Elizabeth tries to resist, but whatever is compelling her, Mr. Gokudera and, apparently, everyone else on the bus to crave intimacy is too strong.

She wants this man so much, it is obscene.

Elizabeth has no experience and doesn't really no what to do. She doesn't know why she kissed his jaw, something she had never considered. Now, she kisses him back with equal pressure and slowly rocks in his lap.

Hayato doesn’t want to overwhelm her further, because with how timid to this intimacy she seems, so hesitant and submissive, he wants to relieve her in gentle ways. The pleasure should spread through her, be a more comfortable urgency.

The way she rocks against him has a low man escaping into her lips as he parts them and swipes his tongue about them, not pressing but introducing a new sensation.

No one has seen fit to tell her what to expect from a man when it came to intimacy. Or rather, what a man expects from a woman, since her obedience has always been emphasized in every other aspect of her life. Traditionally, the man she marries is in charge and his orders are absolute.

That dynamic isn't exactly present in her parent's relationship. Well, her father does set the rules, then her mother does her best to change his mind on those she dislikes. And not quietly, either.

She is surprised by Goku's tongue against her lips. Is this how a kiss usually progresses? His scent is so welcoming that she opens her mouth to see what happens next. She also wants to taste him, a thought that makes a fresh blush appear, though whether the last blush ever left is uncertain.

Most women in Hayato's life have been very mean to him except for one who thought he was an 'unidentified mysterious animal", and she just kind of stalked him and would communicate in odd chirping noises and hand signals. They aren't so bad in Duplicity, but he's not met any that seem so oddly... delicate as Elizabeth does in this moment.

When she opens her mouth into the kiss, he slides his tongue in a gentle sweeping stroke, almost timid, then he sucks at her bottom lip and breaks the kiss to look at her.

"It's okay?" Part of him hopes she feels better, because he's never felt hotter.

As far as she knows, Elizabeth has never been stalked and if she knew Mr. Gokudera had a stalker, she would be concerned, regardless of how the person communicated - or didn't communicate. Chirping sounds would be very strange, indeed.

His tongue enters her mouth only very briefly, but it isn't a bad experience. He looks directly at her, too, unlike his tendency to look away when they first met, which was -

Elizabeth swallows. Not very long ago, at all. They are barely acquaintances, aware of each other's name but not much else. Yet here she is, contemplating all sorts of things...

"Yes," she murmurs, guessing from the context that 'okay' means 'well' or 'fine'. Her hands are trembling slightly on his shoulders, her breasts straining a bit against the fabric of her dress as she takes a deep breath.

She's not in Duplicity, so Elizabeth need never worry about Gokudera's 'friend' Shittopi-Chan.

The way he looks at her is searching and kind, giving her plenty of opportunity to voice anything she may not like or request more of what she does. This can just be kissing. Nevermind the way she's been softly grinding against him in his lap.

"It'll be over soon enough." He says softly, reassuring. The bus still has a ways to go, but it can't drive them about forever. "Want to keep kissing?"

Kissing. Yes, she thinks she can manage to continue to do so, though why she feels this way at all is very puzzling to her.

He seems calm and is reassuring, so she nods and gives him a small smile, quietly asking, "When will... this be over?"

Hayato will not try to do anything with Elizabeth that she may not want, and he gives a sad little sigh at her question before glancing away.

"Maybe when we are off the bus..." He doesn't know what's actually causing the heat, the persistent throb of arousal, the way everyone aboard seems so desperate. The atmosphere has completely shifted since the bus started.

Elizabeth appreciates that, more than she can properly express at this particular moment.

She has no understanding how a simple trip on this conveyance has transformed into some sort of indulgent space for hedonistic practices. Mr. Gokudera has assured her that kissing will suffice to appease... who or whatever is controlling their environment, their very emotions and desires. For that is how she thinks of this absurdity.

She looks at him, places a hand on the side of his face and turns his head back so those beautiful eyes are looking at her again.

"Is there any way to stop the bus now?"she asks huskily, before she can resist no longer and presses another kiss to his lips, desperate and hungry and wanting more.

If Elizabeth wants more than kisses, Hayato would not be surprised, but he’s sticking to that considering how careful he is. He doesn’t honestly know what will appease her, or what will make the heat ease away.

He imagines he could knock out the bus driver, but they are someone appointed by the city, so they could nullify his powers and likely put him on his ass first.

“… no?” Yes, but he’s not stupid.

The kissing is nice and he happily deepens it with a groan. With the bus slowing, he assumes it will stop soon.

She doesn't know what will make this feeling disappear or at least reduce in intensity. Elizabeth has just learned that the bus cannot be stopped, so when she also realizes that it seems to be slowing...

"Perhaps we can... depart shortly... ohhh..." Her words emerge as murmurs between kisses. When he deepens them, she becomes wrapped up with the warmth and sensations again.

He hums an agreeing tone while kissing, hands releasing at her back to settle about Elizabeth’s waist, imploring her to stay close a bit longer, the pressure giving him some small relief.

She is perfectly happy to stay in his lap and if she wiggles a bit, it seems the help her, too.

She is experiencing a rush of sensations she is enjoying, even though they are new and a part of her wonders if she should be enjoying them at all. At this moment, she doesn't care.

He does his best to stay still beneath her wiggling hips, but the bus moving makes him groan into the kiss. When the bus finally slows to a stop, he’s pulling his mouth away from hers, panting, face flushed.

She looks at him, cheeks blushing, lips red from his kisses. She is panting as well.

Trying to collect her thoughts, she realizes the bus has come to a stop. The volume of the other passengers is quite excessive, but then many are furiously engaged in -

"What should we do, sir?" she asks, her voice heavy with a desire, awakened by their possession by forces beyond her comprehension and Mr. Gokudera.

Hayato smiles, the expression slightly strained.

“I think I’d like to leave.” Maybe they can have some privacy and cool down.

She smiles and shifts backwards a little, trying to get her footing.

"I think that would be very prudent," she agrees breathily. Some of the other passengers, in various stages of disarray, have the same idea. Elizabeth manages to stand, though a bit shakily. She reaches for her coat as someone knocks into her in their haste to leave.

"Y-yeah..." Hayato makes sure she's standing before he's moving to do the same, reaching out to steady her when someone knocks into her. He doesn't need to do much to assert any dominance over that person, considering his designation, but Hayato glares at them and guides Elizabeth with a hand on her shoulder to the main aisle so they can walk out.

"Careful." He growls, turning back to nearly press at her back while they leave.

He is quick to catch her as she stumbles. Elizabeth turns to look at the person who bumped into her, trying to imagine anyone who would have done so at home without providing an apology. The person hurries off, well as best as anyone can hurry when it's a bit of a crush to exit.

Mr. Gokudera's hand is on her shoulder and he is practically pressed up against her and she can feel his -

She swallows, still quite shocked by it all, and is glad when she can step down and leave the bus.

The moment they step off the bus, Hayato's breathing a bit easier, giving her more space as well. His body will relax after a while, he's certain, and he's not intending to get back on the bus until he's required to.

"Feeling better, Miss Elizabeth?"

Elizabeth takes a moment to assess how she is feeling and is pleased to note that she is, indeed, feeling better.

She turns to him, meeting his eyes with hers or trying to, anyway.

"Yes, thank you, I am." She smiles, still aching a bit but relieved that painful urgency has diminished. "And you, sir?"

Hayato clears his throat, adjusts himself without being too obvious, and then tries to think about how much space he has, how much work there's to do to raise money for his and Beck's movie.

"A little. Yeah..."
