[Kain has never felt so out of his depth like this world makes him feel. It's all so unlike what he's used to... But the talk of dark knights and paladins is at least something that's familiar. He nods agreement as she describes the difference, finding it in line with what he knows of them from his world. His own path had been very different, although there'd been a time he'd been urged to take up the sword of a dark knight. So he... knows a lot of what goes into it. It does align a lot with who he is in ways, too, but... being a dragoon just meant more to him.]

It's fine, I understand. It's much the same where we come from too. I almost walked that path myself, although I... had more reasons to become a dragoon. Still, the friend of mine who once was a dark knight went ahead and cleansed himself to become a paladin. He chose otherwise. But... the path of a dark knight is still a worthy one.

I know how it generally works, but believe me, I don't mind taking a blow or two in battle myself. [Perhaps a bit more than he ought to. But dragoons aren't known for having a whole lot of common sense...] Do you know if there are any areas with monsters to battle around here? I'll want to keep my skills sharp...
