The truth it that this place is a lot more comfortable to Juno than his own lodgings, which are too large and too empty and he keeps imagining noises just to fill the space, keeps having to check the whole place for intruders.

He's going to have to move out, before it makes him even less stable than he is.

This, though, feels a lot closer to home, and it means he knows what to do, how to inhabit the space. It doesn't leave any pretenses between them, because someone comes back to a space like this only for one real purpose.

"Maybe I should work on making you a little more desperate," Juno says. Instead of moving to undress Gavin he uses his clothing as leverage to pull him towards Juno, to kiss him again.
