Temple grins. He thinks he’s going to like this man.

“Call me Temple,” he says. “And to be honest, I don’t think this is as simple as you think it is. I mean, maybe it could be but I doubt it. The LIES program wants us to have sex, after all. So if I gave you my communication device in exchange for your coin, for example, I don’t think it would get us out of this.”

And besides, Temple’s communication device is just about the only thing Temple has right now and can trade - unless the man wants his gown or his underwear - so it would be a really bad idea to exchange it.

He sighs.

“I really wish it was that simple, though.”
