"Maybe." He was right, though. She knew better than anyone that this city was huge. There was still the possibility that he was here and he just hadn't found her yet. But there was also the possibility that he'd gone home. At this point, she couldn't decide which of those options she preferred.
It was nice that he was trying to see the silver lining surrounding this dark cloud, but she'd seen enough of this place to know that it was sometimes pointless to do so.
