"Oh good. At least that hasn't changed." It made sense, in a way, if they were trying to push people into finding contracts. But they could've probably found a less underhanded way of going about it. The bias was still as blatant as ever, apparently.

"You really have to be escorted?" It seemed a little extreme, but who knows what had happened to warrant such an increase in security. "I guess things are different now. It used to be pretty easy to sneak into the Up." Not that she'd have to bother sneaking around, now that she was one of the lucky ones.

"I'm pretty sure it's all intentional, too. They want us to find contracts, so subjecting some of us to miserable conditions to make that happen quicker probably makes sense to them. I can't say that I miss that part of it." Or most parts of it.
