[ Trains are...new, but not the strangest addition to Essek's world. No, that would be the device in his hand, allowing communication across long distance without magic. What a disaster that would be in the hands of some people, such as the likes of one Jester Lavorre. He had spent some time in his new residence examining the thing, doing his best to understand how it worked. Now there was this. A train, and a tour. He sits by the window with his legs crossed under his cloak, listening intently and taking in the sights.
The sights, of course, being both outside and inside the train. There would be quite a bit to learn in this gilded cage. ]

[ Ask Me About Why I'm Floating is plastered across the front of the shirt Essek has been all but forced to wear, and every time he glances down at it or sees himself in a mirror he frowns. It was to be expected of course. If he was to be kept captive in a gilded cage there would have to be some form of torture, and to have him explain why he was floating half an inch off of the ground rather than walking, then so be it. He would get this task over with and in such a manner that would be to his own advantage. It's not the socializing he begrudges, but rather the exposure.
Well, at least his legs look good, though he would much rather they be hidden behind layers and not visible for all to see. ]

[ Essek took his time assessing the situation, and the many people trying to get away from the overzealous perfumers, before making his approach. Consider him curious, and a touch used to the comforts of a good scent in a bottle. Being taken away from is usual staple, he's in the market for a new cologne anyway. He engaged pleasantly with them as they explained their wares, and prepared to dispel magic if necessary.
With how well teleporting back home had gone, he wasn't sure that it would work, but it didn't hurt to be prepared. No, no he would not be purchasing these scents, but they were fascinating none the less. Were he a chemist he might purchase one to study, but he did his best to politely decline and extricate himself from the conversation.
That was before being sprayed so haphazardly by one of them, before insisting with measured annoyance to know which he had been sprayed with, and immediately turning to leave. Back to his abode he would go, to wait this out. ]

[ hit me with anything! But note that he's an introverted magic user who dislikes being touched. ]
