[Somehow she isn't surprised about the information he tells her, but if anything she's glad he doesn't sugar coat it for her. This place is going to be an adjustment, not just because of the demands they put on regularly, but everything else they seem to throw at them. It's better to know now, at least attempt to be ready for it. She appreciates that.

She doesn't know much about the city, it's communications, or how technologically advanced it is. The radio looks simple, but it seems to pick up something in no time, and he's lining up with her. She tilts her chin up, her smaller hand in his. It makes for an intimate moment, being forced to look up at one another. It's made all the more awkward given how close they are and the fact they aren't in their clothes.

The song itself has the lightness to it, something she could imagine her mother humming, waiting for her father to come in from the fields. She's not even sure if a memory like that ever happened, but it brings about something gentler in her, something she hasn't had to chance to experience in her own life. Her smile is easy as she takes him in, really takes him in as she does as he instructs.

He holds himself tightly, something she can say the same about herself. She might not quite have his skill at reading people, but she knows enough that's at least kept her alive (though caught more than once). When he says his name, she gives a light smile.]

I wouldn't say you don't look like much, but thank you-- for this. [For somehow getting her realize what she needs to do, even if of course they're both stuck in this together. It's simply hard to not be effected in some way by slow dancing to this song.

Things certainly could be worse. Though from his summation of this place it likely is about to be.]
