[ She marches out of the elevator, and he can't blame her considering where the conversation's landed them at the moment. To say that the limitations on her and Finn, in particular, are frustrating would be a massive understatement, and even using his inherent authority can only do so much to shield them from the worst of the injustices. Poe's been here long enough to understand that, but it hasn't made it any easier to deal with. Between that and the way they literally ran into each other, he's feeling unusually off balance, pushed and pulled in between a lot of conflicting feelings.

It's BB-8 who pulls him out of it first, beeping a question at him, head swiveling up to his face, which prompts him to shake his head and step on out, giving the collar Rey's left him with a brief, disdainful look before forcing a smile at the droid. ]


I'm fine, buddy.

[ Which is mostly true, as true as it can be given the circumstances, this is just a lot to take in for one day. None of this seems to be slowing Rey down, a fact which has that smile taking on a fond edge to it. Of course it wouldn't, it didn't with him either, did it? Not until it all inevitably had a chance to sink in sometime well past his actual arrival, after a very long night spent with Finn, that he's looking at a long uphill battle to get out of this place. ]

Left. And unless you palmed my key while you had me distracted, you're gonna have to wait for me.

[ It doesn't take him long to catch up, and he's already digging a key card out of his pocket to open the door as he heads over to join her. ]
