The fact that they don't even acknowledge that death (or Death) is much of a thing most of the time here, the fact that people have been here so long as to maybe not remember where they were from before or the histories associated with it. He kind of doesn't blame them, even. If you're not used to thinking about how awful being immortal can sound, then it probably takes a direct example to get you to start.
