The tension isn't swift to leave Sesyria even with the topic shift. There's a lot of open questions ahead of him, a lot of things he'd rather not face or deal with, and a lot that hasn't truly sunken in for him about the severity of the situation. The idea that he needs to fuck or be arrested just seems too absurd to take as an objective fact yet.
