The skating rink is amazing and seems far more innocent to Merry than other things that he has seen in his exploration of the city. He's happy to try skating but even happier to happen upon hot chocolate. His eyes are gleeful as he gets his third cup of it and he's starting to really feel the effects of it.
"Do..you think something is wrong with this drink?" he finally whispers to someone nearby, though it's hardly a whisper despite his trying.
