Ahh, the shackles. Vrenille had made a quick, private inquiry about those and gotten some version of an answer from the Dominant he's just traded with, though not necessarily what he presumes to be the most reliable one. He's reserving judgement, but he's not naive. A man who'd (apparently) threatened some kind of violence once might well do it again, so the trust that needs to be earned is, on some level, mutual.

That's one thing, but the other is that there's only so much that Vrenille can get away with in public with so many people watching and judging. He's already struck the bargain to swap jobs. He's already taken a Submissive who was going to get flogged and is removing him from the whole display. It's much better for them both if taking the shackles off him in front of everyone isn't his first act.

His eyes make a quick little sweep, subtly indicating the audience on all sides. "Let's start with a change of venue, yeah? Then we can work on it."

Reaching up slowly so that the gesture won't come as a shock or appear to be attempting something it's not, he does unclip the leash from the collar at least, looping it in his hand. That much he can offer. And the collar does stay securely in place. "I'm Vrenille. What's your name?"
