Alec shakes his head. "No." He half smiles and then adds dryly. "Or at least not on my property. I don't know how the city feels. If you're not up here to cause trouble for anywhere near here, you can do what you want. Watch out for SIN though."

Alec studies him curiously. "New here?" he asks. He's starting to recognize the look people have when they haven't been in the city long. There's a certain kind of shellshocked similarity to them. Even people who adapt fast usually at least have a few days where they're just sort of trying to get used to the reality of Duplicity. Alec imagines he was much worse when he first got here.

"Unless you have a Dom signed off on you being in the Up, the guards will give you a hard time if they catch you," Alec adds.
