"A tour," Jim agrees, although he thinks they're seeing some things very different than just what's beyond the train. Noticing how people behave, what they're doing, how they treat each other. Likely Starfleet would say he shouldn't interfere. Likely Starfleet would say he shouldn't have gotten kidnapped, and they probably would have a point on that if Jim would just figure out how it had happened.
