Jim wonders if he's said something he shouldn't, if the concept of prime directive ought to apply now. He's not been all that good at following the rules even when they're clear, though, and he thinks he should get special dispensation for the fact that he's been kidnapped. And the people who kidnapped them obviously have space travel.

"Thanks," Jim says, because he can't disrespect the Enterprise or Pike by saying it's nothing. "Suppose I'll have to figure out what I am here. Seems like pretty much everyone is confined to the city."
