[ Margo can’t help but smile faintly at the way the other woman can put away alcohol. It’s not exactly bizarre, just a testament to the effects this place can have on folks. Figuring that she’d better catch up, she takes her glass and does the same. Her tolerance for liquor is drastically different from Jess’, though. She doesn’t have a liver of steel. A few more of these and she might be zonked out in Seth’s office until he clocks out for the night.

She raises her eyebrows at the mention of New York, the city that had served as her stomping grounds for five good years. ]

No shit. Me too. I mean, not originally. I was born in California, but I don’t have too many good memories from there. And this place picked me up from another world entirely, so I guess New York was just a stop along the way.
