Jace isn't blind. He notices how Alec doesn't move close to Magnus, which is weird, but he tries to remind himself this isn't home, and things don't work the way they did at home. Maybe Alec isn't allowed to be openly affectionate with Magnus here, which would be incredibly fucked up, considering what he's experienced in the city so far.
